I have this setup: duet3 + raspberry and now Im switching from octopi towards the duet control interface. So I downloaded the duet raspbian image and duet3 is now connected through SPI to the raspberry board.
And I connected a 7'' touch screen. Everything looks ok, but in the fields where I should input data, the virtual keyboard just doesnt popup and I have to connect a real USB keyboard, somehting I wich to avoid. Do you have information on what I need to install in your software in order to have the virtual keyboard to pop up (if this is possible)
      Thanks in advance

@Tinchus Why don't you have the Duet 3 connected through SPI?

Did you download DuetPi from here?

          https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/SBC_Setup_for_Duet_3#Section_Step_1_Flash_the_image_file

Have you updated the pi with sudo apt update sudo apt upgrade yet?

When it boots up does it connect to the duet web interface?

How do you have the duet and pi connected?

@Phaedrux Yes, following your previous recomendations, I decided to give it a try and downloaded the the duetPi image, and connected the duet3 and raspberry using the SPI connection. I did the upgrade later in the console. When it boots it connects, I can see the duet panel on the touch screen, the touchscreen is working, the only thing not working is the virtual keyboard.

@Tinchus which version are you running of RRF?
Have you enable the on screen keyboard plugin?

Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

@Tinchus general settings on the left hand side and then there should be a tab called plugins.
Can't remember whether the onscreen keyboard is part of 3.1.1 or is only part of the 3.2 betas
