I have a Distribution board, and 2 tool boards 1LC.
What gauge wire is used between the Duet3, and Distribution board, and the Distribution board and the Toolboard 1LC?
The mounts for power are much smaller than I expected on the tool boards...

      Thanks!

I believe the power lines are using JST VH terminals, which take between 22 and 16 gauge. What do you have on hand?

I have the connectors that came with the Duet3 and Tool Boards...
The JST VG connectors came with the boards.
Also many Ferrule connectors for different things.
I need to buy the correct size gauge wire for the connections between the distribution board and tool board. Anything that goes from the tool board to the part (motor, heater core etc), I will use the wire that came with the end device.
I believe the only wires I need are for Power and CAN. CAN wire is thin/shouldn't be an issue, and am just concerned about the power wires, and that should be the JST VG Terminal.

a single tool is probably fine with 20 or even 22 gauge, but it would depend on the supply voltage, heater cartridge, cable length, ambient temperature and other accessories attached to the tool board to give you a definitive answer.

I am using 20AWG wires on a Hemera with a 40W heater, a mini IR probe, single 5015 fan for cooling on an open frame corexy (ratrog V-Core Pro). The wires don't seem to get warm during prolonged use (tested with a 36h long print). I used 16 or 18 AWG wires before (speaker cables), and those had insulation that was too thick for the crimps to hold properly.

I will only have 2, tool boards connected to the distribution board, but I would like to assume it is fully loaded (but only matters from the power supply to the distribution board, and not relevant to my question)

                Printer is 24v.
Each of the tool boards will have filament sensor, temp sensor, 2 fans, 1 BLtouch (on the 1st tool), 40w heater core, and a 1.6 Amp extruder motor.
Cable length from the distribution board and tool board will be between around half a meter.
Room temp is always around 68f... err... (68f-32/1.8=20c) So 20c...

This is fairly close to what I have.
                  Thanks.
