I am sure that I am missing something! My setup with Duet 2 wifi seems to be working ok. With pronterface I can get all the necessary movements, heating, and extrusions. However thing go wrong when I try to print using the reprap snowman. It appears to home all axes but does not heat up and the x axis creeps

          This is driving me mad!

          Attached my config file

          Why am I using pronterface
          a) Because I have always used it since my first printer (an Ormerod 2) bits of which were used to build My Grandfathers 3D Printer
b)I cannot get the web controller. With USB only connected (no power) and the printer connected both blue lights are on the duet. but try as I may I cannot open the web page

confConfiguration file for Duet 0.6 (firmware version 1.21)

            what duet do you have?
apparently you selected duet 1 in the config tool, yet you write you have a duet 2.

what firmware version are you running?
if you are starting new and you have a duet 2 you should update to firmware 3.11.
            see https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Installing_and_Updating_Firmware
do not forget to update the wifi firmware and the duet web control.

easiest is to update using bossa if you have a very old version.

            then go through these steps.

How are you trying to connect?
What IP address does the Duet have?
As this is a wifi, how have you added the SSID and password?

@Veti the config may say it is for a duet o.6 but has been heavily modified. My firmware is 2.05

@Phaedrux Long, rather weary, story. I thought I had fried my ethernet duet 2 so bought a wifi one. After a while I got a config file that appeared to do what it should so put it back in the ethernet board. I connected through YAT and for the first time got an IP address, I have now connected direct to my router and the USB cable and the web console actually opens but there is an error message. "Failed to get file list"" directory 0:/macros not found

just create that folder on the sd card

When you have a USB terminal up please send M122 and M98 P"config.g" and post the results.

What do you have on your SD card? It sounds like you're missing the directory structure. Are you perhaps also missing the web interface files as well?

@Phaedrux Yes I am probably missing something . I have inputted 'Duet2CombinedFirmware.bin' and confirmed that I have 2.05.1 entered. I have also loaded 'iap4e.bin'but I think need a web control input.

I suspect that my sys file is in a bit of a mess so will start from the beginning
