          Easy? That depends on what you consider easy.

          My first reply to you covered how to set the Z probe configuration to allow bed probing when there is no Z probe.

            Setting m558 P0 and then using g29 as normal will ask you to manually jog the nozzle to touch the bed at each point.

                It works - I used to do it before I went ahead and installed a Z probe.

                Have you considered a removable Z probe - then it cannot get damaged during normal operations.

                          If you are running a Duet 3 with the SBC, I have released an automated way to probe around the magnets and still get a valid heightmap:
