Noctua 4010 and E3D V6

Anyone using this combination? What fan speed is recommended? I'm using this fan with a Mosquito Magnum on my other printer and it's running @75%. Seems to be far too much for the V6 because it doesn't reach the target temperature

it depends on the air path. the part cooling fan should not prevent the heater block from reaching temperature.

@Veti The part colling fan don't have impact on the hotend. The Noctua hotend fan is sitting directly in front of the V6. Currently I've set it to 35% but the V6 is getting quite hot and T0 temperature is raising far too slow.

In my experience, Noctua 4010s aren't pushing enough air to reliably cool down a v6 (or MK8) heatsink to avoid heatcreep. A 4020 might just have enough air pressure.
I've since resorted to Sunon fans.

@MartinNYHC my understanding was that Noctua fans typically have lower flow rates than equivalent 'normal' axial fans (hence you're using the 4010?) I'm thinking your issue is more likely how you've assembled things.
Does the fan blow onto the heater block? Is the heater block assembled properly, or is there no gap between it and the heatsink? As the others say, pictures will help -
If the Noctua is cooling too much; are you sure the voltage is correct?

@engikeneer Exactly that seems to be the problem. The nozzle i installed has a shorter thread and therefore the heatsink is sitting directly above the heater block. Will change the nozzle.

I use a Noctua 4020 on my Titan Aero and it works well enough. The 4010 wasn't quite enough for me.
