Idex or i guess iqex with independant x and y carriages.

Hash Kinematics, would this even be possible in RRF? Obviously the idex configuration is possible, but i dont see anything about independant y also. After i found this on youtube i have to build one. An enclosed bowden setup with mgn rails and nema 23 steppers maybe even closed loop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzf8903FvCs ive always been a marlin guy, new to RRF.
Thanks -
Yes it's possible, and has already been done using a Duet. I implemented Y axis mapping in M563 (around 2 years ago AFAIR) because somebody else wanted to do this. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find those old forum posts about IDEXY.

@breed
Looks good in a simulation, but ask yourself how flat is your bed and how will bed-leveling work with four independent printheads...
I've asked the Duet team if it's possible to implement individual mini z-axis to have independent mesh-leveling for each toolhead. -

So how would that work in theory? I guess it'd use your small z axis built into each print head from your other post that reads and adjusts to the height map specifically for its own location?

@cncmodeller
I guess, it's easy to extrapolate the required data from the heightmap, but there is no way to split Z-adjustment ATM. Phaedrux called it 'composite Z-axis' but I couldn't find anything about that. There's also no easy way to write a post-processing script, since all heightmaps are different. It could be done on the machine only. Perhaps enhancing DWCs simulation mode, but I wrote this already in the other thread. Too much OT here...
