@peter247 what type of machine is the CR10S pro V1? Does the bed move in Y, or the gantry? If the gantry moves in both X and Y then I think the Y gantry is sagging a little.

.................................. This is cold and the aluminium plate is no way level , BUT is this the glass or have I got a mechanical error somewhere ?....................

It's pretty close, but it's impossible to discriminate between the gantry sagging or the glass being bowed by looking at the height map. I find a precision straight edge is invaluable. With one of those and good lighting, it's quite easy to determine if the glass (or aluminium plate) is flat or not. If you don't want to spend too much money, look for a plasterers feather edge - something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Faithfull-Feather-Edge-Scale-Fe48/dp/B0001IWKOA/ref=asc_df_B0001IWKOA/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309808827530&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2730341869416505663&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046150&hvtargid=pla-588189221888&psc=1&th=1&psc=1

@dc42 The cr10s pro v1 moves the Y axis , But I'm just use it for it's metal plate , so the cr10s pro is just used for parts until I get something better, for this core xy I'm working on .
Not sure how much sag you can get with linear rails ?

@jens55 It is worse than off the self , it's a self build so there is a million ways I could have built it wrong.
But it is a start and I haven't finished building it yet, waiting for screws which hold the extruder in place, etc .

It was just a question of can the printer's glass bed bow than much ?

Do you mean that it moves the bed in the Y axis?

It's more likely that the Y gantry (if it has one) is sagging in the middle, especially if it is carrying the weight of the X motor.

Neither one of my two operational printers has a build bed that flat. I would be very happy indeed with that outcome. Mind you both are bed slingers so several levels below what you are building ....

Yes, a glass bed can bow that much. Rotate the glass 90 degrees and do another bed probe to see if the hump moves with the glass.

@jens55 Not sure if this is my only problem .

It was a fitting what I had in hand to test it out and my countersunk screws was a little short so could not fit a nut to hold the screw in place , So I think that the glass bed may have been resting on the screws edges and not the bed it's self .
Now I have got all my remaining screw I hope it is time to do a test print , which should show up any z wobble and out of squareness.
