Ok this is strange... Like I said this is a new install and I'm just configuring things. I turned on the hotend and noticed that the hotend fan did not come on. I manually turn it on using the dashboard in DWC, and the fan turns on but also the light for the knob on the display. If it turn the fan off again the knob light stays on
but the blank panel also turns on too.

Note: I found the issue why the fan was not turning on, I needed to change to H1 to put it on heater 1. Weird thing, now the panel at least lights up? Not sure what that has to do with a tool fan.

      Here is my config.

You shouldn't map thermostatically controlled fans to a tool.
Also, the thermostatically controlled fan is intended to be fan 1 not fan 0

Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

Didn't catch that, the configuration tool put fan 0 on the tool.

What do you mean intended to be fan 1. Why does it matter what is the tool fan?

Now that I took fan 0 off the tool, only the knob on the LCD lights up and not the display. If I turn the hotend temp past 45, turn it off and it cools down, the LCD lights up again. Why is the status of the fan have anything to do with the LCD.

Some weird stuff about assuming which fan is a part cooling fan and which isn't. its just a label flip to make one fan0 and fan1

Ok, I switched it and the good news is the LCD no longer changes with the status of the fan it just stays off.

I also noticed that there was something weird with my config. I must have accidently cut and pasted something. Here is the current version

If you are using a Fysetc mini v2.1 you need option P2 for your LCD for the ST7567 driver.

@luke-slaboratory Good catch, one step closer. Its say "file Main" not found.
I have the main file in a "menu" folder with the others in the system directory.
