I need help choosing and finding a PSU?
-
I am building a 500x500 printer with a Hemera and Volcano hotend. All of the steppers except for extruder will be Nema 23s.
- Bed: 500w
- Hotend: 40w
- Steppers x5: 50w
- Duet and PanelDue: <10W
With the above information (if correct), I'll need about a 650W, correct? Where can I find an affordable 650-750W PSU?
Thanks!

Bed: 500w
for that size of Bed I really recommend going for an AC bed over 12/24v

@jay_s_uk unfortunately I already have the bed...
What are the big advantages to going with AC? Faster to heat?
I guess I could look into getting a silicone heater and attaching it to the underside of my current bed solution?
I have this currently:

@mrawesome987 yea, faster to heat up.
less of a need for a large PSU
can reach higher temperatures. My 500x500 has a 2kW heater (although that is overkill)

No longer needing a large noisy DC PSU is the big one for me. Even a high quality +600W DC supply hums pretty loud under load not even counting the cooling. With an AC bed your DC supply can be sub 350W and whisper quiet. The added benefit of heating a +400mm bed quickly is nice too.
