@prior123 have you got the x axis travelling further than total axis travel?
If it fails to find the endstops on the first move but finds it on the second, that's usually when you get that message

Sorry to keep on but im now having an issue where the BOLD line isnt being read. The printer just keeps the x and Y axis by the end stops

          G91 ; relative positioning
          G1 H2 Z5 F6000 ; lift Z relative to current position
          G1 H1 X230.5 Y235 F1800 ; move quickly to X and Y axis endstops and stop there (first pass)
          G1 H2 X-5 Y-5 F6000 ; go back a few mm
          G1 H1 X230.5 Y235 F360 ; move slowly to X and Y axis endstops once more (second pass)
          G90 ; absolute positioning
          G1 X-38 Y-10 F6000 ; go to first bed probe point and home Z
          ;G1 X-100 Y-50 F6000 ; go to first bed probe point and home Z
G30 ; home Z by probing the bed

if i put my finger in to make the printer think its homed the Z axis (on home all) im still getting this error too

            G28
Error: in file macro line 5: M280: parameter 'P' too high

@prior123 can your printer even reach X-38 Y-10?

@prior123 you may also want to check your retractprobe.g as well

@prior123 because you're in absolute mode. Surely X-38 Y-10 is off your bed or even outside your axis limits

How can i work out the true measurements essentially ive defined it all no with

@prior123 your z probe has an offset of x-49. That means it can probe any further than 49mm before your x maximum. So with a maximum of 235, you can only probe up to X186 (otherwise the nozzle will have to go outside the machine limits)

@jay_s_uk said in Z axis not homing:

                                          235

                                          sooo close now

ive recalibrated the Z probe, and redefined both the bed size and mesh size.

I have just one last issue it still wont hit the last point on the bed and throws out an error before continuing the rest of the G32 code

                                          G31 P500 X-43 Y10 Z3.79 ; set Z probe trigger value, offset and trigger height
                                          M557 X60:260 Y30:245 S20 ; define mesh grid

i thought it may have been the S value but that doesnt seem to make sense as 20 goes into 260

                                          any more ideas?
