I have two meanwell PSUs on my printer, one that supplies 5v/12v primarily for the SBC, and a 24v that also has the ability to remotely turn on using the pson function on my duet3. Since the 24v powers the duet3, am I to assume that once I turn off the 24v psu via a M81 command, the fact the SBC can still operate doesn’t matter, and I can’t issue a M80 to turn it back on until I power cycle the entire machine? Perhaps there’s still some functionality that allows some pass through so that issuing a M80 will trigger that pin even with the duet3 not receiving power from the 24v supply?

I use a similar setup in one of my machines.

Just set the Duet board for external 5V and also feed that from the 5V supply.

That keeps all the logic "alive" but with minimal power use, and allows M80 / M81 to control the 24V power to the high current side of things.

@rjenkinsgb can you share your jumper settings? Are you supplying the 5v via the three pin that also has the pson pin as part of the array?

Yes; that and remove the 5V jumper in the middle of the middle of the board completely, so the Duet 5V has no other interconnection.

The SSR input connects between PSON and the positive 5V supply.

@nuramori Mine's a V1.1, but they have the same connections and jumpers etc.

The 5V jumpers I mentioned are the three positions in the block with the orange header in the middle of the connections diagram; all three should be open if the external 5V feeds both the Pi and the Duet directly.

@rjenkinsgb Yep, all good. I had previously been feeding it off of the duet3, but I suspect some random mid print stalls are/were related to under voltage to the pi4, and wanted to finally clear some to-do's off my list.

all reconfigured and working as intended. thanks.

@nuramori I have 5v and 24v on my Duet 3 and 5v, 24v and 48v on my fysetc spider. Each are connected to the same SSR and triggered by PSON
