Upgraded to v3.4 from v3.3 and now cannot extrude or retract in the DWC, menus is greyed out. Also cannot move axis unless fully homed, which is annoying. Otherwise everything seems to be working.

@brian In DWC, extrude/retract are by default disabled if the hotend is cold and the tool is not active (i.e. not selected). If your case is different, please provide some more details.

The axes are disabled, because the Duet does not "know" where the print head actually is as long as the axes have not been homed - this is a measure of precaution so you can’t inadvertently ram the head into the bed or override limits.

It is however no problem to override that limitation: With M564 S0 H0, you unlimit the axes. Simply put this gCode into a macro, then you can easily access it if needed.

You probably don't have the tool selected at startup, or don't have an extruder motor assigned to the tool. Post your config.g so we can see which it is.

cannot move axis unless fully homed, which is annoying.

It's an attempt to keep from damaging their machines. Override it at your own risk.

@phaedrux Heres the config. Oddly it says v 3.3 yet the DWC says v3.4

@brian Uncomment T0 at the bottom.

And the bit referring to 3.3 is what firmware the config tool was set to when creating the config.g.
