Hotend thermistor reading -273.1 C

    I'm setting up a new printer with duet 3. After assigning the hotend thermistor the temperature reading suggests the hotend is -273.1 C which is not the case. what could cause this ? I'm using an 104NT thermistor. When I try connecting a spare PT1000 it seems to read just fine.

      I believe the correct setting is: M308 S1 P"Your pin number" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4725 C7.06e-8

        @stefvandermeer -273C typically means an open circuit (infinite resistance).
        I would start by checking your wiring

          @stefvandermeer it sounds like a wiring problem, try with another thermistor or check the sensor pin position if it is really the one that you connected it to

            It doesn't look like a wiring problem. I m using a toolboard on a Hemera tool so the thermistor leads are about 30 mm long and directly connected to the toolboard. I checked with a spare PT100 thermistor which seems to work just fine + when I check with a multimeter it seems to be infinite resistance. so I think it's just broken. I ordered a new one, I'll let you guys know if that solved the problem. thanks for the help.

              @stefvandermeer PT100's don't work with the toolboard

              Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

                @jay_s_uk it might be a PT-1000 then it came with my mosquito, nevertheless that one seemed to work just fine when I temporarily wired it up and changed the B and C values
