M950 output on 1XD

@tecno
You could use an external relay, like these and control the relay from the control board and provide an independent 15V supply to the fans.You could also wire them in parallel, but be aware of the current drawn. I've connected two in parallel as cooling fans of the enclosure I used for the Duet3 MB6HC.

@nightowl999
Or use a stepdown like this
-
So if you already knew, why did you ask?
-
@nightowl999
I was asking for setting up output0 on 1XD to output 5V (if at all possible) to fans.
-
@tecno as far as Iām aware, IO_0 and IO_1 are VIN outputs only, and not voltage selectable.

That wasn't really clear from you post, though.
My fans are connected to out8 @ Q500 and seem to work well enough, but then my fans are 12V and only on when the Duet3 MB6HC is on.
; Fans M950 F0 C"out8" Q500 ; create fan 0 on pin out 8 and set its frequency M106 P0 S0.5 H-1 ; set fan 0 value. Thermostatic control is turned off

Absolutely not. We're all foreigners to someone, which makes us all equal!
