Using the Duet3 WiFi 6HC board, can I connect to my diode laser
(on cnc) directly with USB and control it using LIghtburn functions instead of DWC?

If so, is there anything I need to configure to do so?

I've tried to search here, and Lightburn, and YouTube but haven't found how.

@goldentuna I believe it should just work. Set the board up in lightburn as marlin

Any feedback you have on using lightburn with duet would be much appreciated. I've been using fusion for cutting but was looking for a decent way to do raster image engraving.

@jay_s_uk could you describe your workflow for laser engraving with Duet and Lightburn? I am still working on getting my laser setup and working and would like a coles notes version of what getting a job setup and zeroed looks like.

@YYCSparks I place the thing to be cut in the bottom left at 0,0.
With DWC in CNC mode (can be set in settings) and jog to the corner of the workpiece and then use the workplace coordinates to set X and Y to zero and then run the gcode.

@jay_s_uk thank you. Sorry given the title was using Lightburn over USB I thought maybe you had a way to make that happen. Doing it all offline or not live in the software is okay but there are tools in the live software that would be handy for sure.
