You're defining your tools before you're defining the fans. This may be the cause.

You can also send M98 P"config.g" to check for any syntax errors.

@Phaedrux that is the config from e3d site. Interesting. I will try that in a few. Running single color print right now.

I'm not sure it makes a difference, but it stood out to me.

@Phaedrux No errors. Didn't change anything.

Do the fans start if you manually send M106 P2 S1?

Probably worth mentioning all the steps taken from the discussion from the E3D discord.

Such as, replacing fans and that the fans do work on the other tools, but as far as I'm aware you were testing if a metal washer between the fan and motor fixes the issue as experienced by other users. Or simply moving the fan 6-8" away from the Hemera and testing again.

How would I verify if Duex 5 works? I am starting to think might be issue with board.

And for the other fans? Change P2 to match the fan number. Do the rest work?

If the fans work when manually sending the commands there is likely a slicer configuration issue.

                        @Phaedrux Nope. Fans for T1 and T3 don't work. Others 2 do.

Can you test those fans on a working fan port to see if the fans themselves work?

Did the washer thing and didn't work. Also took fan as far as I can from extruder and still not working.

                              What is the washer thing?

Did you connect them to an always on fan port?

@Phaedrux was told to try put steel washer between fan and extruder.

@Phaedrux The "washer thing" is a possible solution to the problem described here: https://forum.e3d-online.com/threads/issue-with-print-cooling-fan-on-hemera-tool.3980/ you may recognise the author of that post!

Ok, but I'm asking if the fan has been tested connected directly to voltage.

Been talking to e3d support also. They are suggesting that Duet3D advise if should replace board. But need ok from them.

Well before we go down that route it would be nice to know if the fans work at all.

Can you plug a working tools part cooling fan into the port of a non working fan on the control board side. This would see if the mosfet on the control boards are an issue.
