I've been working to commission a new Cartesian IDEX build. I was workin on the stepper motors when I discovered yet another issue. My U axis wont move. It'll home perfectly every time. But, when I try to move it manually from the paneldue, it will only move about 4mm. I've tried a G1 and a G0 and it wont move. Duet2WIFI; LDO-42STH48 - 2504AC; Here is my config.g if it will help:

After homing what position does it report itself as being at?

        Post your homing file?

@Phaedrux It reports itself at 0 (zero). Here is the homeu.g:
; Home U at the high end of the axis
          G91 ; relative positioning
          G1 H2 Z5 F6000 ; lift Z relative to current position
G1 H1 U340 F3000 ; move quickly to U axis endstop and stop there (first pass)
          G1 H2 U-5 F1800 ; go back a few mm
G1 H1 U10 F600 ; move slowly to X axis endstop once more (second pass)
          G1 H2 Z-5 F6000 ; lower Z again
          G90 ; absolute positioning

          And the homeall.g:
          ; homeall.g
; called to home all axes

          ; Home X, Y, U simultaneously
          G91
G1 H2 Z5 F6000 ; raise head 4mm to keep it clear of the bed
          G1 H1 X-330 Y-330 U340 F3000 ; coarse home X, Y and U
          G1 H2 X5 Y5 U-5 F1800 ; move 5mm away from the homing switches
          G1 H1 X-10 Y-10 U10 F600 ; fine home X, Y and U
          G90
; Now home Z using the Z probe
          G1 H2 X175 Y175 F6000 ; move to bed centre for probing
          M558 F1000

@SonnyD1 this is my setting of the limit switches with an Idex printer

            ; Endstops
            M574 Y1 S1 P"io1.in"
            M574 X1 S1 P"io2.in"
            M574 U2 S1 P"io4.in"
            M574 Z2 S1 P"io6.in"

I think U2 S1 would be correct right?

              M574 U1 S1 P"duex.e6stop"

U1 is incorrect for a high end endstop. It should be U2 as @Proschi78 has pointed out.

It can't move because when it hits the endstop the position is set to 0, so it thinks it's at the low end and cannot move negative.

@Proschi78 @Phaedrux That was it. Don't know how I missed that in my reading. Now it moves in the negative direction. The limit before it hits my T0 toolhead is U43 (43mm from 0/origin). Do I set 43 as my U axis minimum? Where do I put that so my U (T1) never crashes into my X (T0)?

I think that would be in the G10 offsets for the tools?
