      Hi Everyone ,
      I am currently updating/overhauling a Builder Extreme 2000. With the following parts a Duet 3 MB 6XD , Raspberry Pi 4 Model B , PanelDue 5i , Duet 3 Toolboard 1LC , Revo Hemera XS , Duet Magnetic filament monitor and a BL Touch. I have removed the old MB and am now starting to wire the drivers to the new MB.
      This is my first time ever working on a 3D printer so please be understanding if not everything seems logical!
      I feel as if this may be the first Industrial Builder Brand printer to get a Duet overhaul?
      Any advice or wisdom would be greatly appreciated
      Thank You.

        @900turbo, welcome to the forum!

        Most of the information you need should be the wiki at https://docs.duet3d.com/. See the wiring diagrams for your Duet components in particular. To get connected to your 6XD board, see https://docs.duet3d.com/en/How_to_guides/Getting_connected/Getting_connected_to_your_Duet.

        Feel free to ask here if anything isn't clear, or if you have any questions. We are here to help.

        I wish you success with your overhaul project.

            @Phaedrux Thank You this was very helpful , currently i cannot locate any datasheet for the motors online , sending M501 did not result in a current configuration either.

              @dc42 Thank you so much!
              I have successfully got power to the mainboard using the existing PSU , so have updated the firmware and am now making a start on the wiring. For the Duet 3 Toolboard 1LC where would I supply power from the MB am I correct in saying that OUT_0 would be correct. The RJ11 side of it makes sense to me.
              Thank you.

                @900turbo power the toolboard directly from the PSU rather than out0 as that connection is typically used for beds.

                Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

                  @900turbo as @jay_s_uk says, power it directly from the PSU. It can run on a different PSU from the one powering the 6HC, and at a different voltage if necessary. If you do this, there should be a common ground for both PSUs.

                  Don’t use OUT0; on the 6HC it is turned off by default at startup, and you need the toolboard to be powered at startup to make contact with the mainboard.

                    @900turbo Interested if you completed this? We have a Extreme 2000 Pro and a Duet conversion would be something I'm considering. I'd like to replace the extruder and add some modern quality of life functions. Thanks.
