    Hello everyone.

    Is there a model of canbus board that is more suitable to work with MTB Octopus Pro F429?

      You can add CAN-FD as described here. However it's been suggested to use the EFD version and use the SPI on J74.
      Then you can use any toolboard we support with it

      Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

          If I install the CAN-FD EFD version, will I be unable to use a fysect mini 12864 display that I have?

            @RodrigoRMaraujo you'd use the J74 header rather than the exp headers. They're on different hardware SPIs so you'll be fine

              @RodrigoRMaraujo As Jay has said you can use a different SPI header, though you will need to make up a wiring harness of your own to do this rather than plugging the cables into the exp headers. You will also need to find a pin for CS and pins to supply the board with power.

              @jay_s_uk Do we document how to do this anyplace?

              NOTE: You can't use a DFD style CAN-FD module at the same time as using a 12864 display, doing so will almost certainly result in the board bootlooping (the DFD and display share the same SPI bus and the long cables to the display cause all sorts of problems with the high speed signals used by the DFD). It is possible to modify a DFD to allow the alternate spi bus on J74, but it may be easier just to use the EFD module to do the same thing.

                  I don't have enough knowledge to start a challenge like this, I have no idea how it would be done lol.
                  Using canbus would be ideal, because I'm currently converting a machine running klipper, which has an ebb42 board in the car.
                  Because of the difficulty, I think I'll opt to run all the wiring for the car's accessories (without canbus).

                  I'm leaving klipper and converting my printers back to RRF because of the complexity of klipper (for me). I want to go back to the simplicity of RRF and not depend on an SBC running linux.
