      So I tested two other motors and the same Stuttering.. Is my z axis fried? .. All the other axis work .

        You should provide more info like a picture or which printer type you use. Your problem can be mechanical also, like a screw in the way, entangled cable or such.

          Im running the Cr10s dual lead screw. I ran a successful print and went to start another and when I home z will shake really bad. So I tested other wires out same thing. I tested two other motors and the motors are stuttering too.. The lead screws have no tension or nothing on them.

            imma unplug everything and just test the z axis motors see if it was another wire causing the issue.

              If you disconnect the stepper, can you move the axis easily (axis may be decalibrated)? And if you disconnect the stepper, you can test whether the stepper is working without the axis (test only a few turns).

                    yea when i move it myself it runs ok.. like up and down but when its plugged in it shakes when it starts.

                      I bit more effort: change stepper controller assignment between z and X or Y *). But in most cases it will be mechanical, I think. All pulleys are fixed? (especially the silver one between stepper and trapezoid)

                            So its got to be the board . I ran two seperate motors from the same ports on z axis and they did the same thing. Stutter. I changed the wires and still stutter..

                              I have only two ideas left: motor controller too high current setting (or too low), and cabling somehow wrong. Sorry, then I cannot help further.

                                  I tested the with a multi meter for 1a 2a coils and 2a 2b coils are all good. I ran a print that was successful already so thats out of the question.. hmmmm.. the current is at 800MA

                                      Yea its with the board. all axis work fine but anything plugged into the z axis is just not getting the right current which is making both motors stutter. Im going to run down to my shop and show them the problem .

                                            What is the specification of the Z stepper motors on the CR10? If they are low current high inductance motors, they may need to be connected in parallel instead of in series (the Za and Zb motor connectors are wired in series).
