Dude over Bed Compensation
-
Hi,
How works bed compensation?.
Option A. Nozzle follow bed.
When print, nozzle follows the bed profile, and matain this profile in all print
Option B. Nozzle at start follow bed, and after print in plane
When print, in first layers, nozzle follows bed, but after some layers, they are perfect plane.
Why answer this?
I have to print a piece, and it is important that it is flat, as flat as possible, depending on how I print Duet, I will choose one option or another. These are the ones I consider:
- If bed compensation, use system A. I would give the piece more thickness in the base, and then sand it ... I think it would be worth it.
- If bed compesation, use system B, I would place the piece in the Slicer, lifted from the bed, a few centimeters. That distance, will depend, of encuantas layers, the bed compensation look for the perfect plane. This would be the ideal option

This should help

Ultimately, to print a perfectly flat piece, there is no substitute fro a perfectly flat build plate.

@deckingman yes.... Help me. Thanks

Another option would be to use bed compensation taper, and print on a raft that is a little thicker than the taper height.

What is the minimum taper height?
