M558 H Little monster Delta
-
Hi,
Unless there has been a change I have not read about the H parameter sets the "dive" height.
Assuming the probe starts above the dive height it moves quickly down to the dive height and then starts moving at the slower probing speed until the probe activates or it has moved twice the dive height.
What is it you are trying to achieve?

Looking at your config I'm guessing you mean the Z trigger height value from
G31 P25 X0 Y20 Z0.7
? -
I wish I had such a heightmap ...
M558 tells your printer from which height to start the probing.
In the guides, calibrating a delta, there is a section how to measure the trigger height (G30 S-1 or something like that)

?Well that would explain what he meant to do.
Good catch.

Your RMS is pretty good although your probe area looks rather strange
-
@redemptioner Just a guess, but I think it's a circular bed shape on a delta and one edge is cut off because it's inaccessible to the probe.

thank you all for trying to understand my mistakes in writing and using a delta with duet.
Actually I speak of G31 H0.7 which does not crush my 1st layer.
G31 H0.8 = 1layer 0.3mm
G31 H0.7 = 1layer 0.3mm -

The G31 command in RRF has no H parameter.

He's saying H, but in his config it is Z.
@RafB If 0.7 versus 0.8 is not enough of a difference, perhaps try using baby stepping to make adjustments until your first layer is good, and then take the baby stepping and add or subtract it to your G31 Z height value to make the change permanent.

What does that value have to do with setting Z=0 to be just touching the bed?
I always obtain that condition by adjusting the H parameter in M665 for my deltas.

@fcwilt well it's not really clear if he's talking about M558 H or G31 Z. I'm assuming he means the trigger height of his probe affecting his first layer. But I could be wrong.

Another mistake on my part. I can not remember this code!
So actually it's not M558 but G31
I am french and the translation by google of the clibration of a delta printer is not clear. I know I would have to work at school to better understand English.
So when I change G31 Z + or- my print still has the 1st layer at 0.3mm

Well I may be doing it wrong but I have always adjusted the distance from nozzle to bed at Z=0 by setting the H parameter in M665 (for delta printers course).
The only thing I have been able to determine about the Z setting in G31 is that it affects the generation of the heightmap.csv file.
I find the documentation about G31 to be a little confusing in some areas.

Do you mean the display still shows 0.3? or you think it's still printing too high?
Can you make further adjustment with baby stepping?Have you measured what the trigger height should be?

Hello,
Yes I followed all the procedures but rather this tutorial
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgkJVgFnPaEI hope that it is not the bltouch V2 which poses problem?
I just redo the procedure and I find 0.7mm
Well I will try to mount 100micron per 100micron to know if G31 Z works.
And reread

The result of your heightmap looks very good. What is the problem you are actually having? Is your first layer printing ok?
-
Hello,
Yes it's my first layer that is 0.3mm. I am looking to go down to 0.2mm but G31 Z seems to change nothing.

Once again if you do G1 Z0 where does the tip of the nozzle end up in relation to the bed surface?
Thanks.

There is 0.3 between the nozzle and the bed
