        @veti Thanks! 1amp fuses in cars must be a European thing as my car doesn't have them and the 4-5 automotive supply stores don't carry them.

            @elmoret

            Just ordered some. I'm getting frustrated as I fix one thing (after waiting 2-10 days for the item to arrive) and then something else breaks or malfunctions or I drop the tiny nut down the air duck and I have to do it all over again. I haven't printed in about 40 days and really over this cycle.

            Thanks,

              1A isn't a common rating in cars, but they are readily available on eBay and elsewhere. Search for "mini blade fuse".

                @dc42 Oh, I've found them, but it is the 2 week "slow boat from China" that I am trying to avoid! I ordered some through fillastruder so I'm all set!!

                If there is a suggestion box somewhere, It would be cool if there were the three replacement fuses included with the board. They literally cost pennies, but would be such a life saver in case of an emergency.

                    @bearcattd

                    Including pennies for free to millions of people costs tens of thousands of dollars (maybe Duet hasn't sold millions yet, but for argument's sake)! If those people never use those pennies, that's thousands of dollars destroyed!

                    But, if we're asking Duet to throw some more pennies our way, including at least one spare shunt connector would be welcomed, too, especially for the Duex. An extra one is needed to enable the 12v regulator.

                      @bot Raise the price for the board $1. 00. I'm good. There were quite a few items included with the board that I am not using. Sorry for wasting your money Duet3D!

                        @bearcattd I agree fully. I'm willing to spend more to get all the extras. Just wanted to brainstorm reasons why companies don't send EVERYTHING we could possibly ever need. It ends up being wasteful.

                          As mentioned on https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Connector_and_spare_part_numbers#Section_Blade_fuses, you can also use a 2A fuse. Those should be available from auto parts stores.

                            @dc42 Yup, 2A fuses branded "MiniFuse" are everywhere in Canada at any/all autoparts places - even garages.
                            As was mentioned, the 1A fuses are only available (that I've found) at Canadian Tire off the shelf as I know they cater to auto and motorcycle owners. I bought packs of 2 to 5 of each fuse size and also purchase a pack of 2A fuses in case of emergency.

                            No matter, I realize it's not rural Missouri. I hope you get your fuses very soon.

                              for DC42

                              I have to wait for delivery of the 1 amp fuse (3-4 weeks). in the meantime, any risk in using a 3 amp fuse?

                              thanks

                                From https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Connector_and_spare_part_numbers#Section_Blade_fuses

                                "PCB revisions 1.03 and later have a 1A mini auto blade fuse protecting the fan circuits when the fan voltage selection jumper is in the VIN position. You can increase the fuse rating to 2A or even 3A if your fans, air pumps etc. draw more than 1A in total."

                                Any fuse the correct size will get you going, but understand the risk you're taking by doing this. ie if your fuse blew because of a short, putting in a bigger fuse doesn't fix the problem original problem, and may destroy the Duet!

                                  thanks. droftats. I agree there is risk in using higher current fuse but I plan to replace it once I get the correct one.
