cr-10s upgrade to duet 2 wifi motors and ac 750w bed problems
-
i used this video for reprap tool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nqddfxHla0
-
Read through the online documentation. Therw is a guide for setting up caryesian printers:
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Guide/3.)+Configuration+(General+Cartesian)/10
-
Have a general read through the documentation here too:
-
please bare with me i believe i have a mix of adhd and autisum so i tend to jump ahead of my self and miss steps but also some documentations i have read leave parts out and its thoughs parts that can get me confused so im sorry if i stress any of yous out and thank you so far i will re do my reprap and will be back
-
@jobesynoob1234 it's easy enough to miss the piece of documentation that has the right information for you when new. My posts were intended to help, but their brief nature probably came over as being snappy. Not intended.

have a look at you homeall.g
it explains it
; Uncomment the following lines to lift Z after probing
;G91 ; relative positioning
;G1 S2 Z5 F100 ; lift Z relative to current position
;G90 ; absolute positioning -
like this
; Uncomment the following lines to lift Z after probing
//;G91 ; relative positioning
//;G1 S2 Z5 F100 ; lift Z relative to current position
//;G90 ; absolute positioning -
no // is c/java (and other programming languages)
uncomment mean removing comments not adding them.
so remove the ;

yip thats one of them confusing parts with me using marlin
i did that and it now lifts but i can still hear power going through it is that normal -
-
Ok i would like to say a massive thank you veti and doctrucker for steering me in the right direction you have saved me a lot of stress all motors home heatbed works now i just need to level the bed and try a print i still need to look into that "reducing stand still noise" but the important parts are sorted now so im a very happy bunny thank you again for your time

That's not uncommon. The current will be reduced automatically by a specified amount (default is to 30% of normal) after a specified idle time (default is 30 seconds), so it should get quieter after that. You can adjust that 30% and 30 seconds, they are controlled by the M906 command in config.g. If you find the standstill noise loud enough to be annoying, see the link posted by @Veti.
-
The Creality motors seem to have a rather unpleasant whine at low power for some reason. It's not so much loud as it is piercing.
-
@dc42 hello yip thats what i also did i knocked it down to 10seconds
-
@phaedrux so will it help if i shove the current up to 1000ma i did first put them to 750ma!
-
@jobesynoob1234
changing the current will not change the noise. -
@veti ah right well they can stay where they are then
