Duet3D not connecting to the computer (Please read carefully)
-
Is first time, i follow a different link thatvwas given to me on the old post, but i follow all the steps you mentioned, no sound
Nothing on yhe device manager, the pin was fit, and the lights are the same on the picture -
Do you have Bossa installed on your PC?
-
Yes. Yat as well
-
And nothing shows up in Bossa with these steps?
To update via USB (using a Windows host):
You will need to install Bossa 1.9.1 from https://github.com/shumatech/BOSSA/relea... on your PC.
Place a jumper across the ERASE pins on the Duet 3 and power it up to erase the firmware. The Bossa port should appear on your PC (if it doesn't, try pressing the Reset button).
The erase jumper is located in the center of the board near the large CPU chip.
Remove the ERASE jumper, load Bossa and select the correct COM port. It should identify the device as ATSAM70x20.
Check the Erase All, Boot to Flash and Lock boxes
Download the latest RRF V3 from here: https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/r...
Browse to the firmware binary, and select Write.
When that completes, select Verify.
When that completes successfully, press the Reset button on the Duet 3 to restart the Duet in normal mode.@Reaperrhs said in Duet3D not connecting to the computer (Please read carefully):

Which picture?

I try that several times, doesn't work
-

@Reaperrhs, have you installed the Windows driver for Duet? You can find it in file DuetDriverFiles.zip which is available at https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/releases/tag/3.01-RC9 and in some earlier releases. You need to unzip the package into a temporary folder, then double-click on the .inf file.
I am in communication with Filastruder about your board.

Have you tried connecting it to your network with a config file set copied to the SD card?
it doesn't sound like thats worth while pursuing after
i place the jumper and erased and still not working,
-
i format my memory card by mistake and lost all files
-
@dc42 the only thing left to is to connect the board to the network using an ethernet cable but unfortunately, I cant files to do that
-
The common denominator in this problem is what?
I will tell you, and I'm sorry if brutal honesty is not what you want to hear.
The problem is not the board's it's you.
-
@CaLviNx all this happen after i try to connect the board to the ethernet port, I swap the memory card by accident, don't forget it comes with the problem out the box, is impossible to make a mistake just by connecting the board via USB to the computer, DELETE A FILE? IT HAPPEN TO ANYONE AFTER BEING TRYING FOR A WEEK
-
I'd like to ask those not directly helping solve this issue to please avoid commenting. The goal here is to help a user get their printer working again, anything not in service of that goal should be withheld.
-
@Reaperrhs were you able to install the drivers as DC42 describes?

Deleting files or formatting cards is the least of your problems. You erased the firmware and ended up in the same situation as last time.
Formatting the card, no problem, go download a new image.
Running the card in stand alone mode, the files aren't provided on the card that is delivered with the Duet3. Instead follow the instructions and lean on the guide for the Duet2 as well.
But you will first have to find a solution to your USB problems before you can make any progress after erasing the firmware. And you'll just have to accept we'll question your methods as we go along.
If you are unable to install the drivers and get it working on windows, do you have a linux computer, a raspberry pi or similar you can use? Can you borrow something?
