Was monitoring my speeds on the RailCore this morning and saw this in DWC.

I have never noticed it before in earlier FW versions.
      Currently running
      FIRMWARE_NAME: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet FIRMWARE_VERSION: 3.1.1 ELECTRONICS: Duet Ethernet 1.02 or later + DueX5 FIRMWARE_DATE: 2020-05-19b2

      Regards,

      Paul

@PaulHew I think that's fairly normal but it would depend on what type of probe you are using and if it "thinks" the printed part is the bed as it passes over it. The firmware will ignore it for all moves other than when homing Z.

If you are using an IR sensor as the Z probe, then that's completely normal. It may also be normal when using a capacitive sensor. With an inductive sensor, it might happen on one particular layer.

Sorry, I missed putting that in, it is a BL Touch V3

            Just never noticed it before.

            Regards,
            Paul

If it's a BLTouch it could be a loose crimp/cable or insufficient strain relief on the cable near the BLTouch.

                    Update.
All of a sudden, I could not home Z.
White wire on Probe socket had detached itself.

Fixed and no more flickering. 🤦
