Slice Thermistor - Wavy line in temp chart
-
Just installed a Mosquito with Slice's temp sensor.
RRF3.1.1
I am using this line from RRF Config tool
M308 S1 P"e0temp" Y"thermistor" A"Mosquito" T500000 B4723 C1.19622e-7 ; configure sensor 1 as thermistor on pin e0temp
I have seen other posts mention that the temps fluctuate at room temp and stabilize which it gets to higher temps.
Is there a way to smooth this out?
TIA Paul.

@PaulHew Obvious question but have you run a heater tune? The oscillations look like that might be what the temperature is really doing, rather than a noisy signal.
Edit. If you have run a heater tune (or even if you haven't), try increasing the "D" value in M307.

@deckingman Hi Ian, Yes I did a PID tune, forgot to mention it.
I will try your suggestion. -

Yes I did a PID tune
does it just oscillate when printing or also when
idlestationary? -

@bearer Both! Not worried about the room temp, but would like it more stable higher up.
-
@PaulHew was thinking changes in airflow around the printed part, it being cyclic could be layer dependent, but unlikely.
-
@bearer even with the fan off it fluctuates.
I will adjust the D value and see what happens.P.
