CR-10S Pro - Looking for inspiration
-
Hi All,
I'm currently upgrading my CR-10S Pro V2 with a Duet 2 Ethernet and PanelDue 4.3. Thinking about the best solution to place the board so that SD card slot, reset switch and USB/Ethernet port are accessible from outside the case. Are there any CR-10S Pro users who can give me some inspiration?
For the PanelDue I think I'll go with this one and remix it to my needs: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4023963
Thanks and greetings from Berlin.

Hi Martin,
I have ported exactly the same printer to Duet 2 plus the expansion board some weeks ago.
I made a very simple holder for the boards and used some glue to glue it to the case. Similar to the same location where the stock board was.
I decided to store the boards "somewhere", I do not see any reason to reach the ports from the outsite. I have the WiFi board. The "reset" can be triggered with the main power switch.
I do not need to access the card from the outsite, all files can be reached via FTP or the web UI.
Cheers, Chriss

Hi Chris,
I think I will also go this way for now. Once everthing is running I'll look into "nicer" possibilities
BTW: Is anyone willing to provide me a config for a CR-10S Pro V2 to have a smooth start? I'm completely new to Duet.
Thanks, Martin

Just start with the web configurator. You can choose the ender 3 pro preset as a starting point and modify the build volume and whatever else.

@MartinNYHC Search for my name and cr10 config, I shared my config with a other forum member some weeks ago.

Endstops, motos, tools and fans are tested and working but I still have problems homing the printer.

The author of that config has a duex5 expantion board connected where the bl-touch is connected to:
M558 P9 C"^zprobe.in" H5 F120 T6000 ; set Z probe type to bltouch and the dive height + speeds M950 S0 C"duex.pwm5" ; create servo pin 0 for BLTouch
You may need to change "M950"
This guide should help you:
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Connecting_a_Z_probe#Section_Duet_2_WiFi_Ethernet_without_a_Duex_2_or_Duex_5_expansion_board
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Test_and_calibrate_the_Z_probeThe bltouch config was always looking a bit like witchcraft to me, I was more than happy that if finally worked after a very, very long journey.
Does the "home X/Y" work? Instead of the "home all"?
Does the endstop stages change when you trigger them manually (with your finger) and look at the web UI at "Settings / MachineSpecific"? The "Endstops", at the right, should show a state change when you trigger them manually.
0=X, 1=Y (If I recall correctly)Cheers, Chriss

@MartinNYHC in Firmware 3 you don't use M307 to clear a pin any more:
"You can no longer disable a heater using M307 A-1 C-1 D-1. To use the pin for something else, don't create a heater on that pin." from https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Gcode#Section_M307_Set_or_report_heating_process_parameters so you can remove this line. -
Thanks for your input. It looks like I have a cabling problem. Need to investigate further.
Anyway, I think it's better to create anew post if required.
