I’m getting a similar issue as the topic below, but I’ve followed the thread and I’m using the following in my Config.g:

      M305 P1 T500000 B4723 C1.196220e-7 H20 ; Slice Engr 450°C thermistor Set thermistor +ADC parameters for H1

The H20 got my baseline reading to be ~10C at a 26C room temperature. Got my print going and it was the best print I’ve had in weeks. Then 90 min later, I got a heater fault. I looked at my temp reading right when it faulted and my hotend was set to 255C but was actually 241C.
What am I doing wrong? Is there a data table I need to update or is that just for Marlin?

What was the heater fault message? Perhaps the temperature dropped duet to airflow from your part cooling fan?

@elmoret I did forget to calibrate with my fan on, good thought.
The message was simply “heater fault”

@elmoret SO i tried turning the fan on and this time it wouldn't even get up to to 265C in the allotted time. Just for kicks, i put my old 104GT thermistor back in and re-ran the same M303 and it handled it just fine.
It seems i either am missing something or the Slice Engineering thermistor i received is faulty?
            Thoughts?

Those two statements would lead me to investigate the heater cartridge and /or wiring thereof, rather than the sensor. The fact that you fitted another sensor might be a red herring in that it might be that there is a wiring fault such as a dodgy crimp connector which gets disturbed and either makes or breaks.

@deckingman I agree and should have said in my previous post, i did both tests and re-ran gcode with 2 different heaters just to verify. The slice sensor doesn't work with either and the 104GT works with both. That seems to reinforce the Slice Engineering Thermistor being faulty, am i wrong?

@jallen810 That sounds reasonable - either the cartridge or the wiring (bad crimp etc). Either way, the fact that it worked fine for 90 minutes would indicate that it isn't a configuration issue.

@elmoret @deckingman so I have a Sidewinder X1 that uses ribbon cables for power & signal. As a test I ran proper heater cartridge wiring to my Duet and once I did that, all these problems went away and I’m running my 450 thermistor with no issues now.
In summary, y’all were right. Thanks for advice.

@jallen810 Thanks for the heads up and glad you got it fixed.
