I am working on a new build but I cannot get a decent print. Every print comes out much worse than I would expect. I printed a benchy and a spiralized vase as a test. I though it was over extrusion but I recalibrated my E steps. I thought it could be retraction but the vase was spiralized so no retraction. This is with printing from a completely stock Cura PLA profile. I don't know what to look at next, this is my first scratch build so any help is appreciated.

i'm guessing your thermistors settings are wrong as they're the default values.
Do you know what thermistors you used?

Ok that could make sense... It came from a parts kit so I will have to do a bit of digging to get the exact information. I have a config that came with the kit but it looks like some lines changed in the update to RRF 3.

EDIT: Also, bed and extruder both say 21.7C at idle so I assumed they were set correctly.

since they are all 100k thermistor the 25C degree value is the same for all. they differ at high temperatures.

Ok I set the thermistors to B3950 like the original config says since I can't find any documentation about the parts from the kit. I'll run another print after I auto tune and see how it goes.

@Veti I think it printed better but it still has the weird lines artifact. Printing a benchy now.
EDIT: Benchy failed but same story.

@brotherchris Nope, I have the extruder and material set to 1.75mm.

I slowed down the printing speed to 30mm/s and on one side it printed almost the same, smaller blobs. On the other side, though, it printed with minimal blobs and shows pretty clean lines. I'm tempted to blame the feeder... its a knock-off dual drive feeder and I had to rebuild it like 10 times to make it smooth. My friend also said it could be the hotend which is a v6 clone. What do you think?

                                  Looks over extruded and overheated.

did you just print the tower? it looks the same for all heights.
you need to script the change of temperature
