I changed M558 to F600 and that solved speed problem but Z axis went back to moving 50mm when 5mm button pressed on dwc console
You didn't change the steps per mm in config.g
M92 X80.00 Y80.00 Z4000.00 E396.00 ; set steps per mm

@Phaedrux Duet2 ethernet purchased from Official reprap store thru aliexpress , July 2020, along with 4" paneldue
This is almost certainly a clone board with no warranty provided by Duet3D. Just in case you were not aware.

Also panel due still not reading config g as in not homing like
What exactly happens when you press the homing buttons on the paneldue?
What buttons are you clicking on in DWC to home?
What happens if you send M98 P"0:/sys/homeall.g"? Does it behave the same as pressing homeall on the paneldue or homeall on the DWC?
Can you post a screenshot of your DWC screen showing what you're clicking on to home? Or make a video showing the behaviour?

@Phaedrux Sorry I thought I had changed that, It now moves the amount commanded by dwc on z, but still slow, 10 sec to move vertically 25mm, maybe thats ok. I didnt know board was clone, but had my suspicions when it didnt come in Duet box. Thought "official" reprap store would have been legit. I read somewhere that the ethernet boards were being made under license in china and the wifi boards inUK. I suppose that means Paneldue is clone also?? I certainly paid top dollar. There were clones on the site but stated as clones and were half the price???
Upon send the M98 command it homes all symataneously, ie diagonally for x and y then homes z but quite slowly.
Im using the home buttons in the machine movement section in the dashboard of DWC. Is this board liokely to be piece of crap,, should I buy a relacemenr genuine, I tried to buy wifi board but difficulty due to Covid and uk factory under lockdown.
I can home all axis individually so maybe Ill have to settle for that -

M203 X6000.00 Y6000.00 Z180.00 E1200.00 ; set maximum speeds (mm/min)
Your Z speed is still limited to 2mm/s, as I said, change Z180 to Z600.

Here's a list of authorized resellers.

Do you have a link to the store?

That's hard to say since we have no control over how closely they've followed the hardware specifications. The Duet is open hardware afterall. It may be fine, or they may have cut corners.

Im using the home buttons in the machine movement section in the dashboard of DWCThe buttons in the DWC dashboard should be executing the exact same homing files as the PanelDue. so the behaviour of both should be identical.
When you sent the M98 command, which behaviour did it match?
A video of what's happening would go a long way to helping me understand. It may be something very simple like clicking on a macro file that is different than the homing files in the /sys folder.

@Phaedrux Cheers for that, ru still able to help me or do I have to buy genuine aarticle GG
-
@GG
did you make the changes pheadrux told you to do? -
Of course we will still try to help you. We just can't provide any hardware warranty, but I don't think you have a hardware problem.
-
@Phaedrux Thanks for that much appreciated. Yes Iv e now changed the M203 z to 600 and that made it work well. I can now home all 3 axis on dwc, consistently, but seems like panel due is reading a different config. Also setting z 0 offset tutorial says save z0 in config g In G31 command, I dont have a G31, do I just create one. My dwc version doesnt have system editor either ?? cause it says to use this to save Z0 reading, is mine later or earlier version ?

i would advise you to make any big changes in the online configurator and upload all files again after the changes. introducing a probe makes a lot of changes in the config, especially the homing.

which version of dwc are you running? as far as i know all versions have an editor.

I think some screen shots or videos are in order so we can see what's happening.

From previous experience, the clone boards come with something like version 2.02 of RRF and can be near impossible to upgrade without using BOSSA. They also tend to come with DWC 1.
I would suggest using BOSSA to bring the firmware up to at least 2.05.1. After that, upgrading through system works fine. -
Ah yes we never did get the output of M122.
Regardless of what 2.x version, updating should be as easy as uploading the full zip file for 2.05.1 as is (don't extract first) to the sys folder in DWC.

@Phaedrux it should be but I've had 2 cloned boards and neither would upgrade that way
-
Thats interesting; unless the sd card contents of 2.02 is missing the iap file for 2.02 its very strange the update wouldn't work, unless the microcontroller is a dodgy clone as seen on some arduinos with "atmega328" - but thats perfectly possible i guess.
