Hotend heater showing 695
Duet 3 using RRF 3.2 RC2
I replaced my heater cartridge and thermistor. Using the same brand as I was using before. My heater faults and shows 695 degrees.

Are you sure it's the same as the one it's replacing?
Does it show that temp right at power on when it's cold?
3.2 final is available now by the way. https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/download/3.2/Duet2and3Firmware-3.2.zip
please measure the resistance of the thermistor.
its possible you bought a pt100 rather than a b 3950
@Phaedrux I will upgrade to the final. It shows the crazy temp at bootup. So right away with no heater on and then of course faults right away. It is the same as I was using before for sure. So not sure what happened. Unless they put a different one that looks the same in the same package. I have others and will swap it out tonight when I get home.

you really need to measure the resistance
@Veti Will do that tonight when I get home. On a side note I changed the T to 10000 and it cut the temp showing to 255. So maybe you are right on that.
@Veti Not sure how to test it. I do have a multi meter. Do I disconnect it and test the 2 leads ?
yes disconnect and measure the resistance
