Board: Duet wifi 2
Today I tried to turn on my 3D printer and noticed that my cooling fan wasn't spinning and the blue light of the wifi module was not turning on. I wanted to connect to the board using USB but the Duet board was not even visible in device manager.
When plugged in the only lights that turn on are the red 5V and USB lights. What is going on and how do I fix this?

Take a look at this page and work through the steps to see if we can get it to show up again.

If your board has blade fuses, check those.
Check the board components for signs of damage.
Check for any possible shorts in the cables and wires.
Check the power supply voltage with a multimeter.
Try different USB ports and cables.
Remove the SD card and see if it will boot. -
I had already checked those pages but in the fallback procedure they don't explain what to do if your device won't show up at all in the device manager.
I tried 2 differend computers and all their COM ports.
I checked the board for damage and I see none.
All of the fuses are still intact.
I have disconnected all the wires, I just have the board here right now so it is not a short.
Powersupply has been tested and works fine as well.
With or without SD card only the red 5V and the usb light will light up but the other power indicators will also light up if is hooked up to the power supply. -
Can you post a clear, close up, well lit, photo of the top of the board? Might be able to see if a component has popped.
Did you test the blade fuses with a multimeter, or just visually?
Have you used the reset/erase button on the duet yet?

Here is a picture:
I checked the bladde fuses visually, I don't have a multimeter.
I have used the reset/erase button but it doesn't appear to do anything.@Phaedrux said in Unresponsive duet 2 wifi, doesn't show up in device manager.:

That page doesn't mention what to do if the board still won't show up in the device manager other than to send it back if it's under warranty.

Have you fit the erase jumper?
Have you tried without the SD card?If it's still not showing up, then yes we'd be talking about warranty replacement if possible or repair/refurb.
-
I have fit the jumper yes,
Without the SD card the board does the exact same.My board warranty has expired.

My board warranty has expired.
When and where was it purchased?
-
In 2018 but this board was barely used. It was originally supposed to be used to revive an old UP mini but that didn't work out and since a couple months ago I decided to build a printer using this board. I have been using it for 2 months without problem and today, suddenly it just stopped working when I turned on my printer.
It's not as if I had any power outage or a failure prior so I am just confused on what has gone wrong.

If you wish, you can contact roland@duet3d.com to inquire about the availability of a refurbished unit at reduced cost on exchange. Include a link to this thread and details about your original vendor purchase.

Thank you for the notice, I will do that.
