RE: Unresponsive duet 2 wifi, doesn't show up in device manager.
In 2018 but this board was barely used. It was originally supposed to be used to revive an old UP mini but that didn't work out and since a couple months ago I decided to build a printer using this board. I have been using it for 2 months without problem and today, suddenly it just stopped working when I turned on my printer.
It's not as if I had any power outage or a failure prior so I am just confused on what has gone wrong.

I have fit the jumper yes,
Without the SD card the board does the exact same.My board warranty has expired.

Can you post a clear, close up, well lit, photo of the top of the board? Might be able to see if a component has popped.
Did you test the blade fuses with a multimeter, or just visually?
Have you used the reset/erase button on the duet yet?
Here is a picture:
I checked the bladde fuses visually, I don't have a multimeter.
I have used the reset/erase button but it doesn't appear to do anything.@Phaedrux said in Unresponsive duet 2 wifi, doesn't show up in device manager.:

I had already checked those pages but in the fallback procedure they don't explain what to do if your device won't show up at all in the device manager.
That page doesn't mention what to do if the board still won't show up in the device manager other than to send it back if it's under warranty.

I tried 2 differend computers and all their COM ports.
I checked the board for damage and I see none.
All of the fuses are still intact.
I have disconnected all the wires, I just have the board here right now so it is not a short.
Powersupply has been tested and works fine as well.
With or without SD card only the red 5V and the usb light will light up but the other power indicators will also light up if is hooked up to the power supply. -
Unresponsive duet 2 wifi, doesn't show up in device manager.
Board: Duet wifi 2
Today I tried to turn on my 3D printer and noticed that my cooling fan wasn't spinning and the blue light of the wifi module was not turning on. I wanted to connect to the board using USB but the Duet board was not even visible in device manager.
When plugged in the only lights that turn on are the red 5V and USB lights. What is going on and how do I fix this?

RE: Issues with RRF3 on Duet Wifi 2
Yesterday I wasn't able to respond but today I started up my machine to try and fix my problems.
But for some reason, despite not having changed anything the tool0 and heated bed are now recognized just fine.Rather strange and I am now testing if this is incidental or if the problem truly got resolved.

@Phaedrux When sending M115 I get the following message: "FIRMWARE_NAME: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 Wifi/Ethernet FIRMWARE_VERSION: 3.1.1 ELECTRONICS: Duet Wifi 1.02 or later FIRMWARE_DATE: 2020-05-19b2"

Issues with RRF3 on Duet Wifi 2
For some reason my firmware got corrupted on my Duet Wifi 2 so I had to go trough the procedure to write the firmware onto the duet using BOSSA. However the page linked me to the RRF3.1.1 release so I guess I'll upgrade to RRF3.1.1 then.
on the page itself it was already mentioned that if you use BOSSA you would need to upload the "DWC 3.1.1" and the "appropriate IAP file". I was able to make out that DWC meant "Duet Web Control" and copied these manually onto the SD card but I have no idea what is meant with the "appropriate IAP file" and how to properly upload it and can't find any more info about it anywhere.
The new web control works and I have used the online configuration tool to generate the files for the new RRF3 enviorment. In the web control I uploaded the "Duet2CombinedIAP.bin" file that was in the zip because I figured that was meant with the IAP file but I don't think that was correct.
I have the issue that tool0 heater says n/a, my heated bed does not show up and when I try to home it gives me the error that it failed to enable the endstops.
What am I doing wrong and how do I fix my situation?

RE: No z-probe option crashes bed into nozzle
Thank you for your reply,
The problem turned out to be the "M574 Z1 S2" command. When removed the bed would no longer raise automatically.I still do have another problem.
When manually setting the offset of the Z-axis I set the the Z-axis value at 0 when I probed it manually using some paper but once I start a print it will start to print 2 to 3 cm in the air. Why is that? Where does this offset come from and where would I change this?
