Homing works, but repeats endlessly (mostly)

@droftarts I pulled each of the two blue blade fuses by the shielded power strip, tested each for continuity, and both passed. Are there test points where I could get meter readings that would help in your diagnosis?
-
Would you be able to remove the board entirely and get a good clear well lit shot of the board with close ups in case we can spot a damaged component?
-
@phaedrux Yes, absolutely, but I am not at home at the moment. I will put it on a contrasting background and take several shots with different lighting at the highest resolution I can to get the final under the upload size cap. It might be few hours, though.

@phaedrux just let me know if you want a close look at any specific part of the board, and I will get another image to you quickly. Here are some shots from different angles that should do the trick:

@phaedrux can you please boost me to a 1 reputation so I don't have to wait 60 secs between posts?

and again, I will gladly visit a specific spot on the board if you would like.

Is that a strand of wire on the board near driver 4?
-
@phaedrux It is- wow, good eye. I had to really look for it. I have removed it, but I wonder if it was having any effect. Can I plug everything back in and see if there is any change?
-
Yes you can. Use some compressed air if you have some.
-
Just for the forum/record I removed the strand of wire, dusted with compressed air, reconnected all the cables and powered up the D3/Pi. I still have 3.8 at v12, and V_fused my LED is not lit.

@b3njam1n Hi, we will authorize a warranty replacement s it appears the 12v regulator has failed. Not sure if that was the cause of the original homing issue, but it's definitely the main issue now.
Please send an email to warranty@duet3d.com and CC your reseller. Include a link to this forum thread and the details of your original purchase. You'll receive a reply with a form to fill out.
