@dc42 OK so the .3 version was for the original beta boards, and the 1.0 is for the production boards that are being sent out now. I will give these a try and get back to you

          Hey
Short question. Layer shifts are coming from bad tuning?
I have hysteresis about 0.25 on the x axis and I have layer shifts. Can this be the reason or do I have to show my g.code?
          Thanks a lot
          Richard

@gruna-studio can you start a new thread about this. It would be helpful to know the configured closed loop parameters and PID settings you are using. There is an updated release of the tuning plugin that should work with 3.4 RC1 (https://github.com/Duet3D/Closed-Loop-Plugin/releases/tag/v3.4-rc1), please post the step tuning move outcome as well.

                    Hey
I think I'll try it with different timing.
I use the suggested nema 17 from stepperonline. Can you provide me your M569 T ?
                    I'm a bit frustrated

@gruna-studio I am using the default step timing (i.e. no T parameters in M569)

@dc42 or @T3P3Tony has stall detection been implemented on these boards? Thinking of getting rid of the end stops if possible

@samlogan87 stall detection should work in open loop mode, however RRF cannot yet use stall homing for motors connected to expansion boards.

@dc42 bugger. Thanks for that. Any idea when it might be implemented

@samlogan87 we're planning to implement it in RRF 3.5.

Note, stall homing is less accurate than homing using a switch; so not recommended if you want to support resume-after-power-fail.

I have constant layer shift on X axis. Can't solve it since days and several more boards are on the way.

I have already trying a lot of things, so that this thread wasn't actual anymore.

Then I made a new one which is still online but after two days I could delete that, too.
It's also not up to date anymore.

                                    I'm Sorry

So I'll change the boards and motors later on and will make a new thread.
                                    Did you use 48 volt?
I "saw" a shift. The motor was less noisy and slower then normal for a short second. Like you shift in a to low gear in a car.
                                    Thanks for you reply
                                    I just ordered 4 more 1HCL - I'm very optimistic

                                    Thanks

I used 24V on my printer thus far.

Finally got the printer back up and running after rebuilding most of the mechanism. Still need to square it up as I think some of the noise is rail misalignment. That’s 1000mm/s at 30000mm/s acceleration using 48v to drive the boards
