One nozzle and two extruders working at the same time

Hi!
I am new in the world of 3d printers. I am attempting to build a machine with superior speeds than usual. So I decided to use two extruders (E3D titan) with the E3D cyclops (two imputs, one output). But I am not interested in using two filament colors. I am interested in using the same color through both extruders but using the larger nozzle diameter it could be possible. I've bought the duet wifi with the duex5 add-on, because I will be using 7 heater cartridges (6 volcano heater block and 1 cyclops heater block).Now I have presented my idea, I want to ask you if it is possible to feed the unique nozzle with both extruders working at the same time, for being able to print as much ABS as possible at the same time.

If I am correct, you can assign multiples drivers to the same axis, with the M584 command… They should be driven at the same time.

Another simple solution is to wire both motors in series, like it is done for Z axis…

Either connect the two motors in series as fma suggests, or configure it as a mixing extruder with a 0.5:0.5 mix ratio.

Ah, the mixer solution is probably better, as it is then possible to adjust both extruders if they are not perfectly identical…
BTW, is the M584 solution possible? Is it possible to have 2 outputs driven in //?

Any insight on how to configure our slicer when using mixing?
I use S3D, but am willing to play with others if it makes life easier..

Currently slic3r don't deal with mixing directly (at least as far as I know). To get round this you assign a different tool to the different parts of the model that you want in a different colour/material mix. You can then create a different tool for that colour/material mix in the firmware.
Ian Pegg (deckingman on the forums) has a number of blog posts on this from the perspective of using a 3 or 5 input diamond hotend that go into detail on the process and certian refinements:

Yes for axes, no for extruders.
