      Hi all,

I have now since 07/2020 a duet 2 ethernet in use and never had any issues. However for some reason the U3 controller randomly blew up last time i turned on the printers main switch. Unfortunately i need the printer up running as soon as possible.
I'm afraid that the controller was nice enough to kill the neighboring components while it died.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do?

      Thanks a lot.

@humblejoe this component often fails if these has been a short that impacts 5V (e.g. VIN to 5V) its worth checking your wiring to see if there is a short that caused it. You say it happened on start-up. What do you have plugged into the 5V supply external to the Duet (e.g. PanelDue etc?)

Its funny because I have not changed anything since a long time. I will rewire my entire device to make sure i dont have any shorts. I only have a BLTouch that uses 5 Volts. Do you have any recommendations for me how i can get my device up and running fast?
I am an electrical electrical engineer so i could solder the damaged chips with hot air away and replace them. However, getting any schematics and component list would help me a lot. And also if someone had experience with this kind of failiure, what components usually die with the controller? (i guess the diode d2, anything else known?)
