      Hi,
      I wired my new DuetWifi to my Anycubic Kossel Linear Plus and the fans aren't working. I found this thread: https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/4190/fans-not-working and I'm pretty sure I have the same problem. Since I'm new to this, I don't know exactly how to use the multimeter and how to fix this problem.

      Could someone please give me a step-by-step instruction on this exact problem?

        If none of the fan outputs is working (even the always-on outputs):

        • Check that you have a jumper on the V_FAN jumper block, to connect the centre pin either to the VIN pin or to the 5V pin
        • If your Duet is revision 1.03 or later, check the 1A blade fuse

          Thanks for you answer. None of the outputs is working (including the always-on outputs). The jumper is on the V_FAN jumper block and connects to the VIN pin. I checked the 1A blade fuse and it's working. I have the latest Duet version.

          Is there something else I can do?

            Concentrate on getting the always-on outputs working. First of all, do you have the fan red (+) and black (-) wires connected the right way round? Are you sure that the fan works?

              When I started I connected it the wrong way, now it’s correctly connected. Could it be that something is broken with the fuse still in tact?

                Connecting a fan the wrong way round may have blown the MOSFET controlling any controlled fan output that you connected it to, and the 1A fuse if you connected it to an always on output. So with power off use a multimeter to check for continuity across the fuse, from the fuse to the VIN side of the fan voltage selector jumper block, and from the centre pin of that block to the positive (V_FAN) pin of the fan output.

                      One thing counterintuitive to a lot of people is if you have one fan connected wrong or maybe bad it can kill them all. I presume it drags the supply down? It's happened to me. I got lucky and no damage occurred.

                        I connected the fan to the always-on output and it's working but if I connect it to the PWM output it is not.

                          Which PWM output? There are 3. Of these, Fan 1 output defaults to thermostatic control based on hot end temperature, so you can't control it directly using M106 Snn command unless you disable the thermostatic function first.

                                    I can see blown FETs, at least one, possibly two, perhaps the third is damaged in a way that is not visible.

                                    Connecting incorrectly likely damaged the FETs.
