@mitko said in DWC issues:
can be fine for a prairies redneck
Wow, I see you've done your research. Do you know my address too? On the prairies we have a saying. "Go kick rocks." Now if you'll excuse me I'm late for my banjo lesson.

@mitko Suggest you read this https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/5909/guide-for-posting-requests-for-help
Just the first line will do - the one that says "Please be civil, we are trying to help!"
-
Dear 'guest', people with your attitude dont deserve any help. Get back on facebook where everyone slags each other off.

@chas2706 I note that his original user name of "mitko" has changed to "guest". Perhaps the moderators have stepped in? Or maybe he has taken your advice and taken his bigoted racist comments eleswhere.
-
3 cheers for that. I dont understand people who use facilities like this forum where valuable information and experience is supplied for free to everyone and they choose to revert to unnecessary remarks and sarcasm.

@chas2706, Sorry to disappoint you, but decided to create another account. Noticed this issue again at one on-line course @ Futurelearn, so it seems this matter needs more discussions. Have you ever lived in Canada, the Canadian Prairies ? As you can see from many Youtube videos many people are happily called themselves rednecks etc. On the other hand it is very disappointing to learn that some are finding the farming work as something unpleasant and not valuable. So, if I use the example respond structure provided by Phaedrux, (although this might be in contradiction with the forum policies) it would sound like: Go eat plastic and whatever junk those North Americans are cooking !

@chas2706, This might be something cultural – in general, Canada is both French and British based. In French - villager as meaning can be used as a funny word. Seen the movie - Les Visiteurs ? In fact the only time I heard this expression was from one Quebec born person. For me some English, Canadian ? expressions sound horrible – for example: a person is an asset. Like a person is an object on a balance sheet ...
@deckingman, racist comments – I just made a comment @ FutureLearn, course: International Affairs: Globalisation, about why racism might be justifiable. From what I understand in UK when someone makes a racist comment might loose his/her job etc. In my opinion, such extreme negativism regarding racism is questionable. I invite all of you to present your views.

Im no longer getting involved in this.
All I will say to you is that if you think that it is ok to make racist comments and the like and then make out you are just jesting and then say that it is perfectly acceptable where you come from then maybe you don't belong here on this forum? -
@chas2706, OK
