RE: SD card not sticking
@engikeneer That seems to work. I think I will use your method, maybe replace it in a few months. Seems to work fine for now, thanks.

SD card not sticking
Hello,
I just replaced my wifi card because it was not working right. First time working with hot air station but I think the sd card holder got a bit too much unwanted heat too. Because my micro sd card is not sticking anymore in the holder. I can push it as many times as i want and it goes in deep enough but there is no click or anything, the holder's spring just pushes it out immediately. The holder does still work electrically I think because different leds go on when I hold the card in. What is the best way to deal with this. Rather not do hot air again but if that's the only solution.

It only sends out 2.4ghz. A little distance makes no difference. Sadly I live in the Netherlands so if I send it I'm afraid it could be gone weeks with the transportation.Just a simple hot air station which are used for smd works okay? Than I will learn how to do it. And would you recommend an ESP07 to replace it? I can't find the ethernet modules at the official duet sellers in my country so if the 07 is a better module I am willing to try that one. Furthermore are all the connections just the same? I can just replace it without rewiring some stuff?

That's the thing right now, the wifi repeater stands almost next to the duet. Now there is no aluminum between them.I dont have a hot air solder station or ever worked with it but if that is the only solution I will need to do it. Is it also possible to solder an ethernet module or something to it? A normal solder is something I do have.
Don't mind the wires, it is still a work in progress.

Changing the SD card did nothing. Changing wifi ssid did make the duet connect faster to the wifi (looking at the blue LED). But the webcontrol still gets interrupted and is slow. The dbm is also still 64 while the extender almost is next to the duet. My phone gets like 35dbm on the same spot. -

It has the same ssid and password as all the other ap's in house. I hope the duet picks the best one. Would it maybe work if i use a different name on this ap, specifically used for the duet? I think the duet is than still accessible via the whole home network. -

What do you mean with previous wifi information? The .bin file? -
Bad wifi connection duet2wifi
So this is a derived post from another topic. I recently suddenly got some connection issues with my duet2wifi. Since a few weeks it suddenly got a hard time connecting and staying connected to the wifi. The only thing changed in that time is a aluminum plate between it and the wifi but I have now placed a wifi repeater next to the duet so that is solved. The problem is that the wifi module takes a long time to first connect to my wifi. When it is connected the webcontrol often gets interrupted, it also gives this message then. Also things like sending commands have a delay and the icons not always load well.
Things I tried to solve it:
- wifi repeater next to duet. dbm is better now around 50, was around 70 before but didn't solve it.
- update firmware, wifi firmware and webcontrol to newest.
- Add antenna to wifi module.
Sadly nothing seems to work as of now. This happened with now real cause. Is my module maybe broken? The led keeps on shining on the module when it is connected.

RE: Print quality
Maybe I better make a new topic with the right topic name.
