Duet no wifi anymore
Hello,
A few weeks ago i posted here that my sd card reader wasnt working properly anymore. I noticed this in the wifi not working all the time. I now replaced the sd card reader but now the wifi aint working anymore at all. I get the red light but not the blue light of trying to connect. Sometimes i get a low visible blue light but that is all. Does someone know the meaning of this and how I am able to fix this. I checked the solder connections and they are allright.

SD card reader where to buy
Hello,
Since quite some time my sd-card reader hasn't been working right. I mainly notice this in the wifi module not trying to connect. It cant get the config files to start connecting. The problem is that the sd-card clicking system isn't working anymore. I have been fixing this last year with a bolt just pushing it in but now the connector also have been damaged cause often the wifi gets disconnected. Now my question is where can I buy this card reader or some similar one which fits? I live in the Netherlands so preferably not from the US with like 20 dollar shipping costs. I already replaced my wifi module before (not my cleanest work) so I hope I will be able to also replace the sd-card module.Otherwise I don't know if it is possible to bring it in for repair somewhere and what the costs would be of doing that?

RE: SD card not sticking
@engikeneer That seems to work. I think I will use your method, maybe replace it in a few months. Seems to work fine for now, thanks.

SD card not sticking
Hello,
I just replaced my wifi card because it was not working right. First time working with hot air station but I think the sd card holder got a bit too much unwanted heat too. Because my micro sd card is not sticking anymore in the holder. I can push it as many times as i want and it goes in deep enough but there is no click or anything, the holder's spring just pushes it out immediately. The holder does still work electrically I think because different leds go on when I hold the card in. What is the best way to deal with this. Rather not do hot air again but if that's the only solution.

It only sends out 2.4ghz. A little distance makes no difference. Sadly I live in the Netherlands so if I send it I'm afraid it could be gone weeks with the transportation.Just a simple hot air station which are used for smd works okay? Than I will learn how to do it. And would you recommend an ESP07 to replace it? I can't find the ethernet modules at the official duet sellers in my country so if the 07 is a better module I am willing to try that one. Furthermore are all the connections just the same? I can just replace it without rewiring some stuff?

That's the thing right now, the wifi repeater stands almost next to the duet. Now there is no aluminum between them.I dont have a hot air solder station or ever worked with it but if that is the only solution I will need to do it. Is it also possible to solder an ethernet module or something to it? A normal solder is something I do have.
Don't mind the wires, it is still a work in progress.

Changing the SD card did nothing. Changing wifi ssid did make the duet connect faster to the wifi (looking at the blue LED). But the webcontrol still gets interrupted and is slow. The dbm is also still 64 while the extender almost is next to the duet. My phone gets like 35dbm on the same spot. -

It has the same ssid and password as all the other ap's in house. I hope the duet picks the best one. Would it maybe work if i use a different name on this ap, specifically used for the duet? I think the duet is than still accessible via the whole home network.
