Hello everybody,

as part of a project I am currently setting up a pellet printer with a radial extruder screw.
The printer is already up and running. Currently it is my turn to calibrate the printer, but I can't get any further with the settings for the steps/mm of the extruder motor. I've already read in several forums how to do this for a filament printer, but I don't know how to do it for a pellet printer. Does anyone have an idea and could give me some tips?

Here are some information about the printer:

• volume melting cylinder: 0,45 L
• Nozzle diameter: 3 mm
• Nozzle length: 80 mm
• Extruder motor is connected via a 500 mm long flex shaft

Hey everyone,

as part of a project I'm currently converting my Renkforce 2000 to the Duet Ethernet.
The Renkforce 2000 uses two endstops. One for Z_min (microswitch) and one for Z_max (optical endstop with four pins; light barrier). I've already connected the Z_min endstop to the Duet but how can I connect the Z_max endstop?
Is it even possible to connect a second z endstop switch? If so, can someone tell how to do it?

The Duet Ethernet and Duex 5

Hey Duet Community,

I have a problem with Duet Web Control. When I start to heat my seven heater elements everything is fine. But after a period of time I want to change the tool from standby to active / active to standby or want to extrude material the Duet Web Control won't resopond anymore. So I have to restart the Duet, but when I use a dynamic IP I have to search for a new one..

Could this be a problem with the internet connection or IP adress. I tried both, a static and a dynamic IP, but the Duet Web Control doesn't respond to both at some point.
Does someone has an idea what the problem could be?

Hey everyone!

I have a problem. Before I connected my heat bed, all thermocouples ( seven in total on four daughterboards) worked well. After I connected the heated bed, all fault LEDs of the thermocouples started to shine.

I removed all the thermocouples and connected them one by one and checked each one to see if it worked. The first and second one worked most of the time. I did many variation in the connection sequence, but anytime the fault LEDs started to shine.

I hope you can understand my problem. It is difficult to describe.

I am currently upgrading my Renkforce 2000. The printer is powered by a new power supply (RST-5000-24 Mean Well) and the Duet Ethernet. Now I would like connect the heating bed and the Duet with a SSR. However, I'm not sure what kind of SSR I exactly need. The new power supply has an output of 24 V / DC.

The original power supply of the Renkforce has the following specificatons:
-input volatge: 85 - 265 V/AC, 120 - 370 V/DC

• output voltage: 24 V/DC

Therfore, I would think that the heat bed is designed for 24 V / DC. However, 230V is shown on the bottom of the heat bed (see picture below)

Now, I'm a little bit confused. Can somebody help me please?

In your M906 command in config.g, use E2400 to set the current to 2.4A (or less if you don't need quite a much torque). You will need to use a fan to cool the Duet, see https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Mounting_and_cooling_the_board#Section_Cooling.

I did exactly what you said. But the stepper motor shortly vibrated and then the driver burnt out. Maybe there is a mistake in the wiring of the motor. We have an 8-wire cable and we wired it like this:

I have a problem here with a stepper motor. As part of a project at the university I would like to connect a stepper motor Nema 24 to the Duet Ethernet. This should be used as an extruder motor and therefore requires a relatively high torque. Here are some specifications and also the link to the stepper driver:

• current per winding: 3 A/winding
  -holding torque (bipolar): 353.55 Ncm
• restistance per winding: 1.3 Ohm
• resolution (°/step) 1.8 °/step

Now my question, can I connect this stepper motor to the Duet? If so, how can I configure the motor in the firmware?
