Thanks, I didn't know that, it seems to suggest that for 3.5 the new one was necessary, though I do now see the message at the bottom of the page.

RE: Error: Heating fault on heater 0
Ok I figured out what was wrong. I am an idiot that's what. I inadvertently set the hot end PID parameters as the Bed Parameters in the config.g file.

RE: Delta with New Duet 2 WiFi Only homing on y tower
So, although with a multimeter all tower switch connectors were testing closed at the board end once plugged in they were signalling open. I cut them off and crimped fresh ones and it is working now. Thanks

RE: Failed to generate template homedelta.g
Thanks for your help. Just wanted to say I got this working by uploading the web control files for 2.05.1 to the SD card then I upgraded using the web interface from 2.05.1 to 3 then 3.3 then 3.4.6 as suggested.
I still have a few issues to work through as though I found an old config.json to use as a basis for the new config, my bed thermistor is reading in negative numbers and my nozzle heater PT100 is not recognised so something wrong in the config.g. I will post another thread in the appropriate section about that if I cannot figure it out.

RE: Pressure Advance impossible with Flex3Drive?
Thanks, I was hoping someone with a working solution for the smart effector would chime in. What problems does the top heaviness from mounting the extruder on the tilting adapters cause? Do you not experience that with your self made effector? The only mention of a Screwder I can find is your post that I am replying to, do you have any links for that?

RE: Pressure Advance impossible with Flex3Drive?
I have been looking into direct drive extruders which will fit on the smart effector, It seems there aren't many and none are ideal. I really don't like the way the VDE-100 works, the Sherpa Mini/Micro and the Sailfin are interesting but I wonder what experience others have had?
Any more recommendations or suggestions?

RE: Pressure Advance impossible with Flex3Drive?
Thanks, I had not seen this type of extruder before, Will need to look into how to adapt it to the smart effector.

RE: Pressure Advance impossible with Flex3Drive?
Thanks, This is on a Delta Printer with a smart effector. Can you suggest a suitable extruder for this?

Pressure Advance impossible with Flex3Drive?
Hi,
After recently updating my firmware I kind of caught the bug again and decided to get my printer calibrated as best it can be. I have everything working pretty well now but when trying to calibrate the pressure advance, no matter what I do the results always look the same. I have tried the various PA test available in Orca Slicer but as you can see there is no variation in the tests.
What I have noticed is as the PA setting changes the Print slows down significantly. I have read elsewhere that a low e-jerk setting will cause this if pressure advance is enabled. Now, I use a Flex3Drive and so the e-jerk setting is recommended at 0.1mm/sec, I assume this is due to the gear ratio and the parts being unable to handle anything higher?
Does this mean using Pressure Advance is impossible with a Flex3Drive?

RE: Filament oozing during delta calibration?
Thanks again, this seems to be working, I think I will try to work out the maximum temperature that filament doesn't ooz and set it just set it to that but 160c is a good start.

RE: Filament oozing during delta calibration?
So you set the hot end to 160c in the start up gcode then do the calibration then set the hot end to print temperature? I suppose that should work, I wonder how much the 60c difference would effect the calibration, probably a lot less than a blob of filament on the nozzle in any case. I will give it a try thanks.

Filament oozing during delta calibration?
Hi All,
I like to calibrate every print as it takes very little time and also to calibrate at bed and print temperature so I put the calibration in the start G-code after heatup sequence but doing so causes some filament to ooz out of the nozzle and get between the nozzle and bed during calibration which (I think) throws off the calibration a bit and causes inconsistencies in the first layer.
I am wondering how you all are preventing filament getting on the nozzle during the calibrations sequence?
