@KeithW I had plans to redesign the sherpa mini in such way that the stepper motor sits below the 50 teeth gear (not above).
That would lower the COG but extend the length between filament gears and hotend. It's a pest or cholera decision...

The tilting adapters would raise the sherpa/orbiter even more.
Maybe a combination of both is the golden way?
I hate doing CAD, so I won't try it until I had to.

The Scewder runs on a BLDC motor, that's why it isn't very popular.
I had to add a step/dir interface and a simpleFOC compatible driver to make it work with RRF.
But the BLDC motor is worth it.

I've yet to see that there is a measurable difference between heated and unheated nozzle for calibration. With a smart effector/direct nozzle probe, I can see some temp on the nozzle as being beneficial so any filament residue softens enough to avoid affecting the probing process.

So, although with a multimeter all tower switch connectors were testing closed at the board end once plugged in they were signalling open. I cut them off and crimped fresh ones and it is working now. Thanks

Ok I figured out what was wrong. I am an idiot that's what. I inadvertently set the hot end PID parameters as the Bed Parameters in the config.g file.

And now that I put it all back together its reading 30°C which is only about 3°C high compared to the bed temperature. Maybe a bit or tarnish on the connector or something, I will keep an eye on it.

Ok so then I think part of the problem is the M104 T1 that you're getting out of S3D. I'm not a S3D user, but You'll have to change it so that it's only outputting T0 commands.

If you combine that with Appjaws variable formatting for S3D I think you'll be good to go without having to go the macro route.

Yes. Or you can use DWC 2.0.7. Your choice.

They are files that I archive for debugging purposes, when users report unexpected resets.

Looks like you've already checked the upgrade notes, so you should be OK using your existing config.g and homing files, if you check them for the issues you listed.

@dc42 one other thing, on the sensor connector there is 1 GND point but I have a GND to the Probe and to the PT100 (I think anyway). Can they be joined together or does the second wire from the PT100 go to one of the T connections so use both T1 and T2?

Edit: Nevermind, I think I put the pt100 wires to Pins 2 and 3.
