Does anyone use the Astroprint with their Duet? They are coming out with a Astroprint Touch that looks interesting. https://www.astroprint.com/products/p/astrobox-touch

RE: PanelDue Hot Component
Can anyone tell me if one of those components should get hot? When this happened the Duet was being powered by the USB port. Only the display was attached to the board and not only was one of the components really hot but the display was displaying upside down and backwards.

PanelDue Hot Component
I connected the 5" PanelDue this morning and a component in the outlined area on the photo got hot as Hades, hot enough that when I picked it up it was so hot that I almost dropped the panel.
Do I have a bad panel or is this normal?
The interface board is set at 3.3V

RE: Cannot Connect To The WEB Interface With Duet WiFi
Have you followed the step by step instructions at https://duet3d.com/wiki/Getting_connected_to_the_Duet_WiFi ?
I have spent hours and made multiple attempts trying to get my Duet to respond to step 8 in the step-by-step guide and have never gotten the Duet to respond. Should I assume that the Duet I have is defective?

RE: Cannot Connect To The WEB Interface With Duet WiFi
So step 8 is connecting via wifi
- your computer is on WiFi, do you have a list of access Points? Yes I do
- If so do you see the Duet an access Point? Yes I see it and I can connect to it via WiFi

RE: Cannot Connect To The WEB Interface With Duet WiFi
I have tried that using both Windows Internet Explorer and Google Chrome and both just sit and search and never connect.
Regarding the Step by step guide. I can never get past step 8

RE: Cannot Connect To The WEB Interface With Duet WiFi
Connect to the DuetWifi access point, via the USB port ?
then find your home network SSID in the list I have that SSID
, enter your home network password I have that
and save that. Where do I save the SSID and password and how do I save it? Do I use Pronterface? Is there an associated M command
Reboot the Duet and it will attempt to connect to your home network
Thanks,

RE: Cannot Connect To The WEB Interface With Duet WiFi
Yes I have - In my first note in this thread I said I got as far as step 8 and essentially that's where I still stop.

RE: Cannot Connect To The WEB Interface With Duet WiFi
Hi Frederick,
I was able to connect to the Duet with a laptop and it returned a address of 192.168.1.100 but I don't know how to configure the Duet as a WiFi client. I'm using Windows 7 and the network sharing center shows the Duet as a Public Network. The Pronterface monitor shows this: WiFi is running as an access point with name DuetWiFi
If you have time would you show me how to configure the Duet as a WiFi client. In the meanwhile, I'll be doing a lot of reading - :>)

Cannot Connect To The WEB Interface With Duet WiFi
I have followed the instructions through step 8. here https://duet3d.com/wiki/Getting_connected_to_the_Duet_WiFi and I cannot connect to the Duet using the default IP address 192.168.1.1. Pronterface responds with this message:
M552 S0
SENDING:M552 S0
WiFi server stopped
M552 S1
SENDING:M552 S1
WiFi server starting up
DuetWiFiServer version 1.02
Flash size 4194304, free RAM 31728 bytes, WiFi Vcc 3.40V, host name: duetwifi457, reset reason: Turned on by main processor
WiFi is running as an access point with name DuetWiFiI am connected via USB port and don't get the IP address mentioned in step 11. If I type 192.168.1.1 in my browser's address bar I get the message "This site can’t be reached
192.168.1.1 took too long to respond."Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong as I am sure it's me, not the Duet.
Thanks,
Orin
