      @alexanderhendrickson Yes, that is absolutely possible. The whole idea of the CAN bus is to daisy chain devices along it. Just get the termination correct.

      [speaking of not using a tool distribution board it says...] "It is also possible to connect a Toolboard directly to the Duet 3 Mainboard 6HC, 6XD, or Duet 3 Mini 5+."

      Thanks, I've updated that to make it clear it can connect to any Duet 3 mainboard or expansion board.

      @moth4017 The 0 is implied if it's left off, so 0.out8 would be correct, but optional.

      How do you have the Low Current Output Voltage selection jumper set for Out7-9?

      Are you able to control the fan if you send M106 P1 H-1 S1? That should make it turn on at 100%.

      You could reverse the microstepping change and the M569 change and see if it makes a difference. You could also flash back to 3.3 firmware, but there's no similar bug that I'm aware of.
