    • RE: Duet 2 maestro BLTouch ground

      @droftarts Thanks!
      I'll just ground it then to the PanelDue GND pin.
      It is a genuine BlTouch BTW.

      Hello,

      I’m trying to connect my BLTouch to duet Maestro.
      I saw that the black and brown wires need to be joined together somehow to the ground pin.

      Please help me to understand how to join them together to a single connection.
      Alternatively, I thought to use an unoccupied GND pin somewhere else, e.g. at the panel due. I believe it will be easier that way. The question is whether it is legit.

      Thanks,

      Avri

    • Duet maestro heated bed

      Hello All! Just ordered a Maestro for a 3d printer that I'm currently building.

      I'm planning to acquire 24V 400W 300x300 silicone heated bed. The current rate should be 16.7A which is less than the allowable 18A on the board.

      Would appreciate your assistance with the following questions:

      1. Should I: a) use the internal MOSFET? b) Add an external one? Or c) ass a good quality SSR (I read that MOSFET is better or DC-DC application.)

      2. If the bed is 400W and the rest is approx. 50W I conclude I need to buy 600W PSU as 450W is at the edge (with only one extruder).. is my conclusion reasonable in your opinion?
        I prefer to optimize the payment so 450 is cheaper thus..

      Thanks allot!
