    • RE: Z-Probe dig into bed

      @Phaedrux

      Got a little of success here, if I bypass the whole loop with a jumper wire while probing, the board get the connection and is going to the next step

      That means the issue is in the wiring between 3.3v out of the board "probe" port after the pullup resistor AND before board probe input

      Must be something with heat or vibration as the loop was "good" with ohmeter

      Thanks for your help, I'll keep you posted

      You are right dont know why it didn't worked before but I think I only tried from panel wich doest seem to work from there.

      Did work from web interface right now, just tried 305 in the slicer and looks like its working as well!

      Not sure I need to upgrade firmware then! 👍

      @Phaedrux

      Looks like the thermistor is the culprit even while its still working

      Noticed I had 3.003v at the board but 3.297 at nozzle to bed, figured out I must have voltage leakout somewhere, unplugged heater didnt change, unplugged thermistor triggered heater fault but voltage dropped to 3.003v as the board output

      Ran a bed leveling without thermistor and its working!

      Need to find out what type of sensor they use to change it!

      Done deal, swapped the thermistor and everything works flawlessly now!

      Damn it, was about to show you the error I had buts looks like its working, now I have to tune it to avoid temp raising to slow error

      Thanks for your help, sorry wasting your time 😞

      @phaedrux

      Thank you for your quick answer, the probe for the heated chamber is on RTD2 pin 2-3, jumpers 1-2, 3-4

    • Heated chamber pt100

      Hi Guys,

      I've followed both topic on connecting pt100 and connecting a heated chamber but I'm facing an issue I think with the PT100 part

      Everytime I assign the second pt100 (2wires with jumpers) to the heated chamber (first pt100 is in the hotend, 4wire no jumpers), I have an error in the duet web control and hotend shows 2000*

      Hardware:
      -duet2 ethernet
      -pt100 daughter board
      -fusion f410 printer
      -pt100 is tested and working, not touching anywhere for interference

      Here is what I had

      ; Heated chamber
      M141 H2						; Assign chamber heater to heater 2
      M305 P2 X201					; Chamber pt100
      M307 H2 B1 					; chamber heater operates in bang-bang mode
      M143 H2 S60 					; Set temperature limit for chamber to 60C

      Heater 2 is connected to ssr to controll the heaters, they where working fine with external controller, just want to put everything on the board and have chamber temp in my profiles..

      Any help will be really apreciated

      Thank you!

      Ok,

      So I think I will go to 2.05 first, thought I've found the value to change for max temps in the config tool but actually it just the M143 parameter that you can set to what you want withing the value set in firmware. Now before I install the new firmware I need to know where and how to change the max temp

      Any ideas ?
      Thank for your help!

      This link is really usefull:

      https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Guide/3.)+Configuration+(General+Cartesian)/10

      Is it as simple as it looks like ? I mean save my old values like step /mm/accel etc to make the new firmware and upload through the web interface ?

      Where I'm not sure is for the z-probe, configurator said no more 3/4/5step leveling and going to mesh leveling. My printer is wired with probe leveling on z axis with low end stop, then nozzle toutch the bed in 4 corners. Any idea for those settings ?

      Thanks!

      @jay_s_uk

      Thanks for your help again, I dont mind having a different screen layout

      I dont have SD card as it came second hand, seen on the forum looks complicated to copy the old firmware as backup..

      Found the config tool [https://configtool.reprapfirmware.org/Start] went through it and answered my next question wich was how to set max temp

      I'm wondering if I should just buy another board to keep the stock one as backup and put new firmware on the new board

      Thanks for your help,

      This is as really good start !

      Any idea on how to compile for high temp the firmware [https://github.com/Fusion3-Design/1.18.1-Source-Code]
      Just to try out before I go deeper in updating the firmware ?

      Thanks!

    • Hi-Temperature Duet3d ethernet

      Hi Everybody,

      I have a fusion3 f410 printer I would like to upgrade for hi-temperature printing. Where I need more help is to unlock the temperature for the hotend as the company have their own firmware and wont unlock it for me or recompile..

      I have upgraded the following:
      -pt100 hotend temperature sensor
      -65w heater
      -titanium heatbreak
      -already had copper block
      -got NozzleX and tungsten volcano nozzles

      Planning on the following upgrade as well:
      -insulating chamber
      -relocating extruder for shorter bowden
      -watercooled steppers
      -watercooling hotend
      -heated chamber with air filtration system and spool dryer
      -Automatic activated 10lbs fire extinguisher

      As it is, panel and web interface wont accept anything over 300C
      I would like to unlock this max temp by either:
      -Recompile with good parameter and hopefully find a way to not loose macros and panel interface
      or
      -Full upgrade of the firmware with good parameter, transfer macros and update config files to match newer version

      Would be good to have a way to fallback on stock firmware in case of problem

      Dont know where to start, how to backup old firmware ?

      Thank you!
