    • End scripts

Motor skips after heaters are switched on or off. This is my current tool definition gcode:
      ; Tools
      M563 P0 S"Extruder" D0 H1:2 F0 ; define tool 0
      G10 P0 X0 Y0 Z0 ; set tool 0 axis offsets
      G10 P0 R0 S0 ; set initial tool 0 active and standby temperatures to 0C

Is it possible there are other ending scripts related to extruding when the tool is selected/changed?
      Thanks!

    • RE: Duet 6HC bed heater with SSR

@droftarts ok so I managed to successfully update the firmware, thanks a lot. However no luck with the heater problem. I am using the wiring as described below. The bed heater still heats up immediately as soon as I switch on the board 😞 any other suggestions of what I can do?

      Hi,

I am trying to connect the bed heater using an SSR. The connections so far are as attached below. My problem is that whenever I switch on the power supply, the RED LED of OUT_0 switches on and remains on. Also, the bed heater starts to heat up immediately. Is there someone who can help me with this problem please?

I also tried to set a temperature for the bed heater from the interface but the temperature continued increasing beyond this set temperature.

      Thanks.

@droftarts thanks a lot for your reply.

The SD card was inserted in the board when I uploaded the fzip fila and still is. I have tried to run M21 but DWC seems to keep on buffering and the g-code is not sent. "Drive is unmounted" message is still displayed.

What do you mean by reset the board please? Do I need to restart it by switching it off and on again? Or do I need to actually press the reset button on the board?

@droftarts I tried to update the firmware as instructed. I managed to upload the zip file to DWC. I read that I am supposed to be asked to install the firmware. However this did not happen.

With the SSR disconnected as shown in the picture, the LED light still switches on and voltage is 24V across OUT_0.

      wiring.jpg

When removing the bridging (green wires) the LED switches off and the voltage is 0 across OUT_0 terminals.

(The SD card is still inside the board)

@jay_s_uk with the sd card removed I still got the same result as above^
