Could do with some more info but if your tools have individual heaters, then that's generally caused by having to wait for each tool to heat from it's standby to it's active temperature. If that's the case, you can make it instant by setting the active and standby temperatures to the same values for all tools. The downside of course is that you may get some ooze from tools which are not in use.

I have a mini IR probe, but it has been giving me issues which is why I have mesh bed compensation off and am currently only using it to home. It very well could be the reason for the continuous need to babystep but I have other priorities at the moment.

Is there another way to tell if the compensation is working because it doesn,t seem to be having any effect on my printer.
